Grosset Gaia Cabernet Blend 2024

Grosset Gaia is a Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot blend from a high vineyard in the Clare Valley.

The Gaia vineyard sits at around 570 metres on the western ridge above Auburn, high enough to make Bordeaux varieties a viable proposition in a region better known for Riesling, and the site is farmed organically. The wine takes its name from the Greek earth goddess. Cabernet Sauvignon leads the blend, fermented in small open vessels and matured in French oak barriques, a portion of them new.

Decant and serve at 17 degrees with roast lamb, beef or hard cheese. It will develop over fifteen years.
