Description

Grounded Cru Kardi Cabernet Shiraz is the estate's top red, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz from South Australia.

The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz is a distinctly Australian idea, with the Shiraz filling out the middle of the firmer, more structured Cabernet. McLaren Vale lies south of Adelaide between the Mount Lofty Ranges and the Gulf St Vincent. The sea keeps the summers temperate, and the region's mix of sand, clay and ironstone soils has made it one of Australia's most reliable sources of red wine.

It suits roast beef, lamb shoulder, game and hard cheeses. Decant and serve at around 18 degrees.
