Description

Grounded Cru Shiraz is a red from McLaren Vale in South Australia, here in magnum.

McLaren Vale lies south of Adelaide between the Mount Lofty Ranges and the Gulf St Vincent. The sea keeps the summers temperate, and the region's mix of sand, clay and ironstone soils has made it one of Australia's most reliable sources of red wine. Shiraz is the region's principal grape and its best-known wine. The magnum format allows slower ageing in the cellar.

It suits barbecued and slow-cooked red meats, lamb and hard cheeses; serve at around 18 degrees.
