Hans Herzog Pinot Noir 2021

Hans Herzog Pinot Noir is an organically grown, oak-aged estate Pinot Noir from Marlborough's Wairau Valley.

Small batches, low yields and generous time in barrel and bottle before release are the house approach, and the wines tend to read more European than is typical locally. The vineyard sits on the stony northern side of the valley and is farmed organically. Maturation in French oak gives this red its depth and structure.

Silky and savoury, with dark cherry, spice and fine tannin. Serve at 14–16°C with duck, lamb, mushroom dishes or grilled salmon.
