Hay Shed Hill Block 1 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is a Margaret River blend drawn from a single vineyard block with a character all its own.

Wilyabrup is one of Margaret River's most established sub-regions, and the Hay Shed Hill vineyard there dates back to the 1970s. The team manages it block by block, and Block 1 has long been bottled separately because its fruit carries a lemony minerality not found elsewhere on the property. The familiar grassy notes of the region are there, but the aromatics have more complexity than the usual Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, with a gentle toasty note in the background. It is a step up from the everyday version of the style, made with the same care the estate gives its reds.

Well chilled, it suits oysters, barbecued prawns or a Thai-style chicken salad. Enjoy it over the next two to three years while the freshness is at its best.
