Description

Hay Shed Hill Vineyard Series Cabernet Merlot is a medium-bodied Margaret River red built for easy enjoyment.

The Vineyard Series is the Hay Shed Hill range that captures the bright, fruit-forward side of Margaret River at an approachable price. In this blend Cabernet Sauvignon gives the backbone and cassis fruit, while Merlot fills out the middle with softness and flesh. Regional hallmarks of berry fruit and a touch of chocolate mint sit front and centre, with oak kept to a cedary background note so the wine stays lively. It finishes with soft, ripe tannins that make it easy to enjoy young.

Serve at around 16 to 18 degrees with a midweek pasta bolognese, lamb cutlets or a cheese board. It is ready to open now and will hold for several years.
