Hay Shed Hill Vineyard Series Malbec 2021

Hay Shed Hill Vineyard Series Malbec is a rich, perfumed Margaret River Malbec with power and poise.

Malbec has long been planted in Western Australia, mostly as a blending partner for Cabernet, but a handful of producers now bottle it on its own. In Margaret River's maritime climate it ripens to deep colour and a brooding, floral perfume while keeping its freshness. This version is layered and textured, filling the mouth with weight and power, yet the tannins are long, soft and well integrated, keeping everything in balance.

Serve at about 17 degrees with smoky barbecued beef, chorizo or a chimichurri steak. With a few years of bottle age already, it is drinking well now and has the structure to keep improving for several more.
