Hay Shed Hill Vineyard Series Malbec is a generous Western Australian red with dark fruit, perfume and soft, mouth-filling texture.

Based in the Wilyabrup sub-region, the Hay Shed Hill team makes this Malbec as part of its Vineyard Series, a range focused on honest varietal wines from Margaret River. Malbec thrives in the region's warm, dry summers, gaining deep colour and a brooding, floral bouquet. In the glass it is a big, textural wine with real presence, yet it avoids heaviness thanks to long, soft tannins that carry the flavour through the finish.

At the table, reach for slow-roasted pork shoulder, a spiced lamb tagine or grilled sausages. Serve slightly cool, at around 16 degrees, and drink over the next several years.
