Description

HEAD Red Grenache is the estate's everyday Barossa Grenache, from old dry-grown bush vines.

Grenache suits the Barossa's warmth, ripening without losing its perfume, and the old bush vines that survived the vine pull of the 1980s are the source of the region's best examples. The Head Red range is made for drinking young, with maturation in older oak rather than new barrels. Alex Head has worked exclusively with Rhône varieties since founding the label in 2006.

Serve slightly cool at 16 degrees with roast pork, charcuterie or a tagine. Drink within six years.
