HEAD Wines Wilton Hill Shiraz 2022

HEAD Wilton Hill Shiraz comes from an old-vine vineyard high on the Barossa Ranges, where they meet the Eden Valley.

Wilton Hill sits at the top of the ranges, a transitional site between the warm Barossa floor and the cool, high Eden Valley, and the geology of the hill matters as much to the wine as the variety does. Alex Head began HEAD Wines in 2006 after a biochemistry degree and ten years in the Sydney wine trade, and built the label on single Rhône-variety sites. The wine is matured in French oak and bottled without fining or filtration.

Decant and serve at 17 degrees with roast beef, game or aged cheddar. It develops over fifteen years.
