Heathcote Winery Slaughterhouse Paddock Shiraz 2024

Heathcote Winery Slaughterhouse Paddock Shiraz is a generously flavoured, full-bodied red from central Victoria's Heathcote region.

Heathcote's reputation rests on Shiraz grown in deep red soil formed from Cambrian-age rock, a combination that produces wines with depth of colour, concentration and fine tannins. This bottling is crafted in a ripe, robust style, pairing dark berry fruit with spice from cedary oak. Touches of black pepper and dark chocolate build the texture, while soft tannins keep the concentrated, mocha-tinged palate approachable. The result is a wine with the power to impress and the balance to keep you reaching for another glass.

Bring out the barbecue: smoky brisket, lamb ribs or charred eggplant all suit its weight. Serve at around 16 to 18 degrees, decanting if opening soon after release.
