Heggies Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay 2023

Heggies Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay is a layered Eden Valley Chardonnay with flinty character and a long mineral finish.

Altitude is the key to the Heggies site. Set high in the Eden Valley, the vineyard enjoys a cool climate that ripens Chardonnay slowly and keeps its acidity bright. For the Reserve, selected parcels are given extra attention, with French oak adding toasty spice to aromas of yellow citrus, apple, stone fruit and fig. The palate is layered and thirst-quenching, with peach, green mango and roasted hazelnut over a creamy texture and the minerality this vineyard is known for.

At the table it shines with seared scallops, chicken in a tarragon cream sauce or a wedge of aged comté. Chill lightly and allow it to open in the glass.
