Heidi Schröck & Söhne Amphore Amore is a striking skin-contact white from Rust, on the shores of Lake Neusiedl in Austria's Burgenland.

Heidi Schröck farms in and around the historic town of Rust together with her sons, continuing a winemaking tradition in the family for generations, though the estate is equally known for pushing into more experimental territory alongside its classic dry and sweet styles. Amphore Amore reflects this exploratory spirit: grapes are fermented on their skins and matured for an extended period in amphora, an ancient winemaking vessel that allows for a slow, gentle evolution without the influence of new oak, giving the wine texture, depth and a distinctive amber hue.

Textural and characterful, this is a wine for adventurous drinkers, equally suited to spiced dishes, richer seafood or contemplative sipping on its own.
