Heirloom Vineyards Adelaide Hills Pinot Grigio is a perfumed, crisp cool-climate white with a savoury, mineral edge.

Behind the Heirloom label are winemaker Elena Brooks and her husband Zar, also known for Dandelion Vineyards, who source fruit from the South Australian regions best suited to each variety. For Pinot Grigio that means the Adelaide Hills, whose cool, high slopes preserve the aromatics and acidity the grape needs. This is a perfumed, floral style with pear, lemon skin and musk, and a palate that is upright and assertive yet generous through the middle, with a savoury, bath-salts minerality.

Serve well chilled as an aperitif, or with salt and pepper squid, prosciutto and melon, or a light seafood pasta. Drink young and fresh.
