Hesketh Dangerous Type Merlot 2025

Hesketh Dangerous Type is a Merlot from the Limestone Coast in South Australia's south-east.

The Limestone Coast covers Coonawarra, Padthaway, Wrattonbully and the surrounding country, all sitting on a bed of ancient marine limestone that holds water and keeps vines even through a dry summer. Merlot ripens reliably here without the flabbiness it shows in hotter regions. Hesketh was founded by Jonathon Hesketh, who came from a career at Wirra Wirra and the family's wine distribution business, and works with growers across the state.

Serve at 16 degrees with roast chicken, pork or a mushroom dish. Drink over the next five years.
