Description

Hesketh Regional Selection Coonawarra Cabernet comes from the strip of terra rossa soil that made the region famous.

Coonawarra is a narrow cigar-shaped band of red soil over limestone, barely fifteen kilometres long, and it has produced Australia's most consistently structured Cabernet Sauvignon since the 1950s. The wines show blackcurrant, mint and firm tannin. Hesketh's Regional Selection range picks one district for each variety. Maturation is in French oak.

Decant and serve at 17 degrees with roast lamb, beef or aged cheddar. It develops over twelve years.
