Hunter McKirdy Les Pentes Sèches Pinot Gris is a textured, small-batch white from the Alsace village of Zellenberg.

Hunter McKirdy is a young négociant estate founded by Paul McKirdy and Jolene Hunter, previously of Domaine Zind-Humbrecht, who farm plots of Jurassic limestone marl between Riquewihr and Ribeauvillé. Choosing to bottle as Vin de France rather than under the formal Alsace appellation, they pick by pH and flavour rather than sugar ripeness, press gently using a champagne-style hydraulic press, and ferment spontaneously with minimal intervention across their small production.

A textural, food-friendly white suited to those drawn to a more natural, artisanal style of Alsace winemaking.
