Description

Hunter McKirdy Sous les Coudriers Pinot Gris is a small-batch, terroir-focused white from the Alsace village of Zellenberg.

Hunter McKirdy is a young négociant estate established by Paul McKirdy and Jolene Hunter, both previously of Domaine Zind-Humbrecht, farming parcels of Jurassic limestone marl between Riquewihr and Ribeauvillé. The pair favour gentle pressing, spontaneous fermentation in old barrels and minimal intervention, releasing their wines as Vin de France in deliberately small volumes rather than following Alsace's formal appellation rules.

A generous yet precise white, well suited to those seeking a natural, hands-off take on Alsace Pinot Gris.
