Inama Carmenere Più Veneto Rosso 2023

Inama Carmenère Più is a red from the Colli Berici hills, south of the estate's Soave vineyards.

Carmenère was long mistaken for Cabernet Franc in the Veneto, where it has grown since the nineteenth century, and the Colli Berici is the one Italian zone that takes it seriously; più means more, a nod to the small addition of Merlot and Cabernet that fills the blend out. The hills are limestone and clay rather than the basalt of Soave. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and matured in oak.

Serve at 16 degrees with grilled meats, roast peppers or a mushroom dish. Drink over the next eight years.
