First published in 2010 and now fully revised, this edition runs to 800 pages and widens the coverage considerably: 1,200 vineyards, 300 wine villages and 700 domaines, with Chablis, the Hautes-Cotes de Beaune and Nuits, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais treated alongside the Cote d'Or. There are 45 full-colour maps, six of them new, including plot-by-plot holdings within individual grand and premier cru vineyards. Morris wrote the first edition while running Burgundy buying at Berry Bros; he now works as a critic and lives in Burgundy full-time, which shows in the level of judgement here.
