Jansz Tasmania Premium Cuvée NV

Jansz Tasmania Premium Cuvée is the house's signature non-vintage sparkling, a fresh blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

The Jansz story began in the 1980s at Pipers River in north-east Tasmania, a cool, windswept corner of the island well suited to sparkling wine. Owned by the Hill-Smith family, who also run Yalumba, the house makes only bottle-fermented sparkling, labelled Méthode Tasmanoise. Chardonnay brings citrus and floral lift while Pinot Noir adds red-fruited depth, and extended time on lees during the second fermentation adds nougat and roasted nut complexity along with a fine, creamy mousse. The finish is dry and fresh, and the wine is ready to drink on release.

Pour it well chilled as an aperitif, or with freshly shucked oysters, sushi, prawns and tempura. It's an easy choice for celebrations, and there's no need to cellar it.
