Jansz Tasmania Single Vineyard Vintage Chardonnay Gift Box 2019

Jansz Tasmania Single Vineyard Vintage Chardonnay is a blanc de blancs sparkling from a single Tasmanian site, presented in a gift box.

A pioneer of traditional-method sparkling at Pipers River in north-east Tasmania since the 1980s, the house today sits in the Hill-Smith family's stable alongside Yalumba. This release is made entirely from Chardonnay grown on one vineyard and picked in a single year, so it shows both the site and the season. After the second fermentation in bottle it spends extended time on tirage, which gives a fine, creamy nougat texture and toasty brioche notes, while cool-climate acidity carries a long, mineral finish.

Serve well chilled in a tulip or white wine glass. Try it with oysters, crab linguine or pan-fried whiting, or open it with soft cheeses. Gift boxed, it makes a thoughtful present for anyone who loves Champagne.
