Jansz Tasmania Single Vineyard Vintage Chardonnay Gift Box 2020

Jansz Tasmania Single Vineyard Vintage Chardonnay is a precise, all-Chardonnay sparkling drawn from one Tasmanian vineyard and gift boxed.

The house was established at Pipers River, in Tasmania's cool north-east, and has focused on bottle-fermented sparkling since the 1980s. Now owned by the Hill-Smith family, it makes this wine only from Chardonnay off a single vineyard in one vintage, creating a blanc de blancs that speaks of its place. Extended time on lees after the second fermentation in bottle gives a fine, lemon-curd texture and hints of toast and brioche, balanced by a linear, chiselled acidity and a chalky finish.

This is at its best well chilled, alongside delicate seafood: scallop crudo, King George whiting, or prawns with lemon and herbs. The gift box makes it an easy present for anniversaries and celebrations.
