Jensen's Bermondsey Dry Gin

Jensen's Bermondsey Dry Gin is a London dry gin built on the balanced botanical recipes of the early twentieth century.

The idea was to bring back a style of London dry that had effectively disappeared: fuller in body, less dominated by juniper, and weighted towards the whole classic botanical set instead of one loud voice. Distillation happens in Bermondsey, in south London, on a 500-litre still built by John Dore and Co, a firm that traces back to 1830 and to Aeneas Coffey, who patented the original Coffey still. The still has a stainless body with a copper cone head and lyne arm, and a water jacket heats the spirit and botanicals gently. Commissioned in 2012 and licensed in July 2014, it was the sixth craft distillery to open in London.

Musky florals on the nose, balanced by citrus and juniper, then a soft, luscious mouthfeel with gentle spice and a citrus finish. This is the gin for a proper dry Martini, stirred and very cold. It also makes an excellent Negroni and a clean, straightforward gin and tonic.
