Jim Barry The Florita Riesling 375ml offers this famous Watervale Riesling in a handy half-bottle.

Warm days, cool nights and elevation give the Clare Valley a climate that suits Riesling, and the Florita vineyard in Watervale has long been one of the region's benchmark sites. The Barry family keeps the winemaking simple and free of oak, letting fruit and soil come through clearly. This 2025 opens with lime skin, slate and delicate white flowers, then fills the mouth with lime juice and squeezed citrus over a limestone-like mineral core. For all its weight, it stays graceful, driven by fine, focused acidity through to a clean finish.

Pour it straight from the fridge. Scallop ceviche, a green papaya salad or grilled flathead are all good matches. Drink it young for its zest and energy, or put it aside for a few years to see it fill out.
