Jo Landron Brut Atmosphères NV (Base 2022)

Jo Landron Brut Atmosphères is a dry sparkling wine from Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine in France's Loire Valley.

Landron farms biodynamically and grows all the fruit itself, picking by hand. Fermentation runs on the yeasts that come in with the grapes, and very little sugar goes in at the end, which is what keeps the wine dry. The label gives 2022 as the base year.

Low-dosage Loire sparkling of this kind is usually dry and apple-skinned with a chalky, clean finish rather than anything toasty. Serve cold at 7 to 9 degrees as an aperitif, with oysters, or against something fried.
