Description
Description
Amphibolite is a dry white Muscadet Sèvre et Maine from Jo Landron in France's Loire Valley, made from Melon de Bourgogne.
The cuvée is named for amphibolite, the greenish metamorphic rock the vines are rooted in, and it is one of the signature bottlings at an estate that has mapped its own soils closely. The vineyards are farmed biodynamically.
Muscadet from this sort of hard rock is generally taut and dry with a salty, stony finish and little weight. Serve cold at 7 to 9 degrees with oysters, mussels, or grilled sardines.
*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
