Description

Les Houx is a dry white Muscadet Sèvre et Maine from Jo Landron in France's Loire Valley, made from Melon de Bourgogne.

Les Houx is one of the oldest vineyards Landron farms, a single parcel at La Haye-Fouassière worked biodynamically. The vines are mature and crop lightly, and the wine is the estate's argument that Muscadet has more depth in it than the appellation's reputation allows.

Expect more weight and grip than an entry-level Muscadet while staying dry and saline, with a few years in bottle already behind it. Serve at 9 to 10 degrees with grilled fish, scallops, or chicken.
