Kings County Blended Bourbon

Kings County Blended Bourbon is a blend of the distillery's own pot-distilled whiskeys, built as an all-purpose spirit.

Blended whiskey in the United States has long meant something stretched with neutral spirit, which is why this bottling is a deliberate provocation. Everything in it was distilled in-house: two-thirds straight bourbon, the rest corn, rye and malt whiskeys, all pot-distilled from quality organic grain and aged between two and four years. Founder Colin Spoelman calls it a "superior, all-purpose spirit" and adds, with a grin, that "this isn't the Blended Bourbon our parents drank". Every contributing spirit type is listed on the label with its age and barrel format, which is rare transparency. Batch 1 arrives in a new blue label.

Smooth and approachable, with honey, caramel, citrus-tinged vanilla and a satisfying rye spiciness underneath. Bright enough to sip neat over a cube and robust enough to hold its shape in a Manhattan, a Whiskey Sour or a highball with soda and a lemon twist.
