Kings County Bottled in Bond Bourbon Spring 2018

Kings County Bottled in Bond Bourbon Spring is a bonded Brooklyn bourbon from a single 2018 distilling season.

Every bonded release is a snapshot: barrels filled during one season at one distillery, aged a minimum of four years, bottled at 100 proof with no cutting or blending across years. That transparency is the appeal, and Kings County was among the earliest craft distillers to work within the rules. The mash bill uses organic New York corn with a high malted-barley component and no wheat or rye, double distilled in copper pot stills in the Paymaster Building at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Small-barrel maturation gives the whiskey more wood influence per year than a standard Kentucky format would.

Toffee, dried apricot, malt and a warm baking-spice finish, tightly knit at bonded strength. Neat is best, with a drop of water if you want it looser. It stands up in a Manhattan or a Boulevardier without disappearing.
