Kings County Moonshine 200ml

Kings County Moonshine 200ml is an unaged corn whiskey from Brooklyn in a small-format bottle.

White dog, white lightning, moonshine: whatever you call it, this is the distillery's spirit caught straight off the still with nothing added and no time in wood. The mash is 80 per cent organic New York State corn and 20 per cent malted barley from the United Kingdom, one of the highest malt proportions on any American whiskey mash bill. Double distillation in gooseneck copper pot stills at a deliberately low proof keeps flavour and weight in the spirit, and the cuts are exceptionally narrow, essentially the heart of the heart. No chill filtration, so the grain and corn oil characters survive intact.

Bready, doughy, cornmeal aromas with pure bright intensity, then a pillowy, silky mouthfeel that is rare in unaged whiskey. Sip it cold and neat, or put it to work: it makes one of the best Bloody Marys going around.
