Kings County Moonshine 375ml

Kings County Moonshine 375ml is an unaged, unfiltered corn whiskey double distilled in copper pot stills.

Nothing at all is added to this spirit, and nothing is taken away beyond the cuts. Eighty per cent organic corn from New York State and 20 per cent malted barley shipped from the United Kingdom make up the mash, a malt proportion few American distillers would contemplate, and the whole thing runs twice through gooseneck copper pot stills at a low distillation proof to keep richness and mouthfeel in the liquid. The distillers take very narrow cuts to draw off only the cleanest part of the run, and the spirit is bottled without chill filtration so the corn oils stay where they are.

Seductively perfumed, with bread dough and cornmeal leading into a silky, balanced palate. Excellent chilled and neat, better than most people expect. Mixed, it makes a formidable Bloody Mary or a bright, grainy sour with lemon and a little sugar.
