Kir-Yianni Kali Riza Amyndeon PDO 2022

Kir-Yianni Kali Riza is a Xinomavro from Amyndeon, the highest and coolest wine region in Greece.

Amyndeon sits on a plateau above six hundred metres in Greek Macedonia, surrounded by lakes that moderate its continental climate, and its sandy soils have kept the vines free of phylloxera, so many are ungrafted. Kali Riza means good root, a reference to exactly that. Xinomavro here gives a lighter, more aromatic wine than at Naoussa.

Serve at 16 degrees with roast lamb, tomato-based dishes or hard cheese. It develops over ten years.
