Kooyong Clonale Chardonnay 2025

Kooyong Clonale Chardonnay is the approachable, fruit-forward Chardonnay in Kooyong's Mornington Peninsula range.

The Mornington Peninsula's cool maritime climate, surrounded by Port Phillip and Western Port bays, is well suited to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and Kooyong has specialised in both. The Clonale name refers to clonal selection of vines. Oak is used with restraint so citrus and stone fruit lead. The 2025 has lime, grapefruit, white peach and a hint of reduction, with grilled nuts, toast and nougat. The palate is generous and concentrated, shaped by chalky texture and kept precise by bright acidity.

Well chilled is the way to go. Serve with grilled prawns, a chicken Caesar or crumbed flathead and chips.
