Kooyong Massale Pinot Noir 2025

Kooyong Massale Pinot Noir is a generous, early-drinking Pinot Noir from Kooyong on the Mornington Peninsula.

Massale refers to massal selection, the old practice of propagating vines from cuttings of a vineyard's best plants. In the winery, some whole bunches and a light carbonic influence bring brightness and aromatic lift. The 2025 has dark cherry, ripe strawberry, plum and raspberry, with brown spice, a whole-bunch note and a hint of Turkish delight. The palate is plush, with red and blue fruit, rounded tannins and a smooth, flavourful finish.

This is an easy Pinot to enjoy young. Serve at around 14 degrees with a mushroom pizza, tuna steaks or Peking duck pancakes.
