Description

Kooyong Meres Pinot Noir is one of Kooyong's single-block Pinot Noirs from the Mornington Peninsula.

Kooyong's Single Block series bottles individual parcels separately to show how soil and aspect shape Pinot Noir. Meres is one of these sites. The 2021 opens with red and purple raspberries, sour cherry and a slightly smoky note. Intense red berry and cherry build across the palate, with a long savoury line and fine-grained tannins giving a focused finish.

Serve at around 15 degrees, after a short decant. It goes beautifully with roast duck, lamb loin or a porcini risotto, and has the structure to age further.
