KT 5452 Shiraz 2023

KT 5452 Shiraz is a fresh, spicy Watervale Shiraz from Kerri Thompson in the Clare Valley.

The number on the label is simply the Watervale postcode. Kerri Thompson set up her own brand here after years making wine in the Clare, and she works closely with a handful of local growers. This red shows the fresher, spice-led side of the region, with French oak kept in the background.

Dark berries and pepper, with supple tannins and medium weight. Good with barbecued lamb, beef burgers or a hearty pasta at 16–18°C. Drink it now or over the next few years.
