KT Churinga Watervale Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

KT Churinga Watervale Cabernet Sauvignon is a single-vineyard Cabernet from Watervale in the Clare Valley, now with some bottle age.

Red loam over limestone, a bit of altitude and cool nights have made Watervale famous for Riesling, but this single site is where Kerri Thompson sources her Cabernet. She runs the label with a small group of growers and a hands-on, low-fuss approach that puts healthy vineyards first. French oak gives the wine the structure to age.

Full-bodied and structured, with blackcurrant, a leafy edge and firm tannins. Serve at 17–18°C with roast beef, lamb cutlets or aged cheddar.
