KT Wines Tempranillo Tinta 2021

KT Wines Tempranillo Tinta is a medium-bodied, earthy Tempranillo from the Clare Valley.

Most people know the Clare for Riesling, and the same goes for the woman who makes this wine, Kerri Thompson of Watervale. Mediterranean reds also do well in the valley's warm days and cool nights. In her hands the Spanish variety gives a savoury, medium-weight wine, gently handled, with cherry fruit leading and oak kept quiet.

Savoury cherry, earth and firm, fine-grained tannins. Try it with paella, chorizo, lamb cutlets or a slow braise of beef and tomato, at 16–18°C.
