KT Wines Tempranillo Tinta 2022

KT Wines Tempranillo Tinta is a savoury Clare Valley red made from Spain's best-known grape.

Warm, dry summers and cool nights have given this variety a comfortable home in the Clare Valley. Thompson works from Watervale and is best known for dry Riesling; her reds follow the same restrained approach. In Clare the grape tends towards medium weight with fine, firm tannins, and the winemaking lets the cherry and earthy character come first.

Medium-bodied, with cherry and savoury, earthy notes. Pour at 16–18°C next to slow-cooked beef, lamb cutlets, paella or chorizo.
