Description
Ktima Matsa Assyrtiko is a dry white from one of the oldest estates in Attica.
Assyrtiko is the great white grape of Greece, from Santorini originally, and it holds high natural acidity even in a hot climate, which is why it travels so well to the mainland. Ktima Matsa lies at Kantza in Attica, east of Athens, an estate established in the 1930s by Roxane Matsa, the first woman in Greece to run a winery under her own name, and now part of the Boutari group. The vineyard sits on limestone at the foot of Mount Penteli. The wine is fermented cool in stainless steel and bottled without oak.
Serve at 8 to 10 degrees with grilled fish, octopus, feta or lemony vegetable dishes.
*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
