Description

L&C Poitout Vindemiola is a Pinot Noir from the Chablis country of northern Burgundy.

Red wine is a rarity this far north in Burgundy, where almost everything planted is Chardonnay, but Pinot Noir has grown around Chablis and Tonnerre for centuries and gives a light, red-fruited wine on the same Kimmeridgian limestone. Vindemiola refers to the harvest. The wine is fermented with a portion of whole bunches and aged in older oak.

Serve slightly cool at 15 degrees with charcuterie, roast chicken or mushroom dishes. Drink within six years.
