La Crema Monterey Chardonnay 2023

La Crema Monterey Chardonnay comes from the wind-swept vineyards of California's central coast.

Monterey's Salinas Valley funnels cold air off the Pacific through the vineyards every afternoon, strongly enough that growers call it the wind machine; it shuts down ripening in the heat of the day and makes for one of the longest growing seasons in California. Chardonnay here keeps sharp acidity. The wine is barrel-fermented with lees work.

Serve at 12 degrees with seafood, roast chicken or a soft cheese. Drink over the next five years.
