Description
La Linea Albariño is a dry white from the Galician variety, grown in the Adelaide Hills.
Albariño grows on the Atlantic coast of north-west Spain, where it gives a saline, citrus-driven white with high acidity. Australian plantings had a famous setback when vines imported as Albariño turned out to be Savagnin, a mix-up only uncovered in 2009; correctly identified material has since been established. The Hills' altitude suits it.
Serve at 10 degrees with shellfish, grilled fish or a salad. Drink within four years.
