Langmeil Jackaman's Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Langmeil Jackaman's Cabernet Sauvignon is a cork-sealed release of Langmeil's premium Barossa Cabernet.

This bottling is sealed under natural cork, which some collectors prefer for longer ageing. Langmeil is based at Tanunda in the heart of the Barossa, where the Lindner family took over an old winery site in 1996 and set about preserving its heritage vines. Their Cabernet is drawn from Barossa vineyards chosen for concentration and fine tannin, and matured in French oak with some new barrels to give cedar and spice. The 2022 season produced a medium to full-bodied wine with red and blackcurrant fruit, savoury black olive notes and a silky, youthful finish.

This is a wine to open with a rib-eye off the barbecue, venison or a rich beef and red wine casserole. Serve at around 16 to 18 degrees, decant when young, and expect it to cellar well for a decade.
