Description

Langmeil Three Gardens Grenache Shiraz Mataro is a supple, spicy Barossa blend made to be enjoyed young.

Barossa winemakers have long blended Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro, the same trio found in France's southern Rhône. Langmeil's everyday version adds small amounts of Carignan, Counoise and Cinsault for extra perfume and lift. Grenache gives red fruit and rose-petal notes, Shiraz adds black cherry and body, and Mataro brings savoury, herbal depth. The wine is made for balance and freshness, with just enough oak to round it out, and it finishes with silky tannins and white pepper spice. It is made at Langmeil's Tanunda winery, beside the North Para River.

Serve at around 16 degrees alongside roast chicken with herbs, a pork and fennel sausage pasta or vegetable moussaka, and enjoy it within three or four years of vintage.
