Langmeil Valley Floor Shiraz 2023

Langmeil Valley Floor Shiraz is a classic, plush Shiraz from the heart of the Barossa.

The Barossa floor is where the region's warm, generous Shiraz style was born, on deep red-brown soils around towns like Tanunda, Nuriootpa and Lyndoch. This wine draws on vineyards across the valley floor to capture that character. Langmeil ferment for depth and colour, then mature in oak to add vanilla, mocha and a savoury edge. The palate is rich with Satsuma plum and mulberry, sweet and peppery spice, bramble and soft, velvety tannins, finishing long and spicy. It is a good benchmark for what the Barossa floor does best.

Serve at around 16 to 18 degrees with a beef rib roast, Korean barbecue short ribs or a hearty lasagne. It drinks well now and will cellar for five to eight years.
