Langmeil Wild Child Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Langmeil Wild Child Cabernet Sauvignon is a juicy, approachable Cabernet from the Barossa Valley.

Where many Barossa Cabernets are built for the long haul, this one is made to be enjoyed early. The Langmeil team focus on bright blueberry and blackcurrant fruit, handling the grapes gently so the tannins stay fine and the palate stays medium-bodied. Hints of cassis, brambly spice, chocolate and earth add interest without weighing it down. The wine comes from the Langmeil winery in Tanunda, revived by the Lindner family in 1996 on one of the valley's earliest settlement sites.

At around 16 degrees it is a good midweek red for spaghetti bolognese, lamb souvlaki or a cheeseburger. Drink over the next three to four years.
