Lethbridge Pinot Noir 375ml 2022

Lethbridge Pinot Noir 375ml is the estate's Geelong Pinot Noir in a half bottle.

Fruit comes from the Moorabool Valley home block, planted in 1996 at 270 metres on black clay above bluestone, honeycomb basalt and limestone, and from Hat Rock on the Bellarine, planted the same year on volcanic clay and loam over limestone within reach of Corio Bay's cooling influence. Only MV6 is taken from the home site; Hat Rock adds 114 and 115. Around half the fruit went in as whole bunches for a twenty-day ferment handled with increasing gentleness, then eleven months in 40 per cent new wood. A half bottle is a useful thing on a weeknight.

Bright red fruit, mineral lines and a clean, transparent shape, with savoury character sitting evenly beside the fruit. The smaller format shows a touch more forward. Serve at 15 degrees, with roast chicken, duck breast or a mushroom tart.
