Lionel Faury Saint-Joseph La Gloriette Vieilles Vignes Rouge 2023

Lionel Faury Saint-Joseph La Gloriette is an old-vine Syrah from the right bank of the northern Rhône.

Saint-Joseph runs for some fifty kilometres along the western bank of the river, which makes it the longest and most varied of the northern Rhône appellations; the best sites are the steep granite slopes in its northern half. Vieilles vignes indicates old vines, which give smaller crops and more concentrated fruit. The wine is matured in oak, mostly seasoned.

Serve at 16 degrees with lamb, charcuterie or grilled vegetables. It develops over a decade.
